High School English & Literature Teacher

We are looking for a passionate Freelance English & Literature Teacher to help high school students improve their language proficiency, writing skills, and literary analysis. The role involves guiding students through grammar, comprehension, composition writing, and set books in preparation for examinations.

The teacher will conduct lessons that build critical thinking, enhance reading culture, and strengthen students’ ability to express themselves effectively in written and spoken English. You will also support students in analyzing literary texts and preparing for essays and comprehension exams.

This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys mentoring students and fostering creativity while ensuring strong academic outcomes.

Bachelor’s Degree in Education (English/Literature) or related field
TSC registration
At least 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school
Strong command of English (written and spoken)
Familiarity with KCSE set books and curriculum
Excellent communication and teaching skills
Ability to guide students in essay writing and literary analysis
Experience in online teaching is an added advantage
Strong organizational and time management skills
